Kai Expressions was established in 2005 in Boston and has been making waves ever since. Kai (k'eye-yee), Swahili for 'loveable,' signifies a dedication to grandeur expression through artistic designs. You will find this evident in all of our creations as genuine care and emotion are placed into each handcrafted piece. Using all natural materials such as semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystal, recycled and sea glass and sterling silver, Kai Expressions has been hailed for an ability to craft artful pieces that can be worn for all occasions.  The company has branched into Kai Keepsakes, which specializes in personalized bracelets and custom wedding ensembles.

We honor varied cultures and diversity, and you will see that our collections suit a broad variety of tastes.  We incorporate many beads from a range of countries to ensure a unique quality to our one-of-a-kind jewelry. In addition to promoting culture, at Kai Expressions we also take pride in elevating self-esteem and uplifting the community.  We were proud to develop a philanthropic program donating over $800 to a sanctuary for poor and homeless women in Massachusetts, and look forward to expanding the program in Los Angeles with the Downtown Women's Center.  Additionally, we have made donations to various other organizations that focus on health, education and finding homes for women and children.  See our Events page for more detals on our charitable endeavors.

As owner and designer, Janine Kai Robinson, uses a creative eye to bring extremely high quality jewelry to men and women with humble pricing.  She was blessed at a young age with opportunities to grow in diverse directions at prestigious private institutions throughout New England, developing an early passion for the arts.  Janine has an extensive background in visual arts (painting, drawing, photography) and has expanded her skill set with her mastery of jewelry design. Raised in Cambridge, Janine grew the business in the South Shore of Massachusetts, and now resides in Southern California where she enjoys crafting at local shows and growing as a skilled artisan with followings on both coasts.
